The Indiana Pi Bill is the popular name for a bill written in 1897, an oddly notorious attempt to establish mathematical truth by legislative fiat. Did you know that the legal value of Pi is three? It’s $3. So you’re not talking about blueberry pie. I’m not talking about a pie in general because if that were the case, I’d be down at the cafeteria every day. Why does Pi have a value in Indiana? I’m not sure, but I’m sure there’s a reason. Maybe it’s because I don’t even know what Pi means. And most people don’t even care.
